Garden tours at Cape Museum of History Wednesday

Free garden tours conducted by Master Gardeners will be held Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 1-4 p.m., at the Cape Coral Museum of History, 544 Cultural Park Parkway. This is a Florida Friendly Landscape. A FFL garden doesn't have any invasive plants. Come learn about native and friendly plants, edible plants, butterflies and more. These garden tours are every second Wednesday afternoon from October-April. Tours and parking are free. No reservations needed except for parties of six or more. Overnight closures set for eastbound lane of Little Pine Island Bridge

MATLACHA, Fla. – Motorists should expect the eastbound lane across the Little Pine Island Bridge to be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 5, and Thursday, Nov. 6, between the hours of 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Crews will be moving the temporary barrier wall to accommodate concrete placement on the bridge deck. Flaggers will be in place to direct traffic during the lane closure. Motorists are asked to exercise caution and reduce their speed while driving through the work zone.
