Election 2026 | Question of the Week 15, Mayor’s Race | How will you serve the public as their representative on council?
Each week through the General Election, The Breeze will ask the candidates for Cape Coral City Council an issue-related question. In the interest of fairness, each candidate is limited to the same amount of space, about 100 words, for their response.
Cape Coral City Council races are non-partisan races. Council members qualify in their respective districts but are elected at-large. This means all registered city voters may cast a ballot in each race regardless of where they live and the party to which they are affiliated, if any. This year’s General Election, on Nov. 3, features four Cape Coral City Council races: Mayor and the seats for District 1, 4 and 6.
The candidates below are running for the mayor’s seat on the Cape Coral City Council:

I will serve our community prayerfully. The beginning of this year our church tasked us with an assignment that everyday at 4:30 p.m., we pray Act 4:30 over our city. “Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”
Everyday at 4:30 I pray for the healing of Cape Coral, I was actively praying over our city at 4:30 p.m. for over 4.5 months when my husband came to me and said he thought I should run for mayor. Something he swore he’d never want for our family. This was the greatest testimony of this calling. So I will serve with communal healing in mind. I pray that we can restore trust in our leaders by giving full transparency to the residents and taxpayers.

I’ve led at every level, not one specialty, but many and I bring that full range of experience to Cape Coral’s council. I won’t be behind a desk. I’ll be out in the community, talking with people, hearing their concerns firsthand, and bringing them to the forefront with council.
Then, I’ll deliver simple solutions that actually work.
I will represent every citizen of Cape Coral as they deserve with professionalism, discipline, and the leadership this city has been waiting for.
Cape Coral doesn’t need another politician. It needs a leader who shows up and represents you. I’m that leader.
