Yunet Jomolca weds Connor Holmes

Connor and Yunet Holmes

Yunet Jomolca and Connor Richard Holmes were happily married May 10, 2009, by the Boca Grande lighthouse in Lee County, following a two-year engagement.

The bride is the daughter of Irene Gonzales of Cape Coral, and Eduardo Jomolca of Miami. She graduated Cape Coral High School 2004 and continues her undergraduate coursework in general psychology at Florida Gulf Coast University. She currently works as a photojournalist at the Cape Coral Daily Breeze and as a freelance photographer. She owns local pet photography company Waggin’ Tales Pet Portraits, and also composes artistic photography.

The groom is the son of John and Janice Holmes of Cape Coral. He graduated from Mariner High School in 2003 and continues his undergraduate coursework in general English with a minor in creative writing at Florida Gulf Coast University. He currently works as a journalist at the Cape Coral Daily Breeze. He is also a published author of science fiction short stories.

Yunet and Connor were married by the Boca Grande lighthouse on Gasparilla Island, Lee County. Officiating the ceremony was Glory Williams. Immediately following was a reception in the Amory Chapel in Boca Grande,.

The bride’s maid of honor was her good friend, Joann Rodriguez of Cape Coral. The groom’s best men were his brothers, Sean and Corey Holmes.

Grandparents of the bride are Mrs. Hortensia Aguiar of Hialeah, Fla., and Ramona Pineiro of Havana, Cuba

Grandparent of the groom is Mrs. Bernice Melvin of North Fort Myers.

In loving memory of Ruben Gonzalez, Roberto Jomolca, Arthur and Lucille Holmes, Richard and Hazel Gallagher and Richard Melvin.

The couple honeymooned on Gasparilla Island, off the coast of Port Charlotte. Yunet and Connor’s current plans include residing in Cape Coral until they complete their degree work.
