Temporary closures early Friday on Pine Island Road at Chiquita Boulevard
Motorists are advised that on Friday, Oct. 24, at approximately 1 p.m., all access onto Chiquita Boulevard, on the north side of State Road 78 (Pine Island Road), will be temporarily unavailable. This temporary closure is expected to last approximately one hour.
Motorists traveling on Pine Island Road are advised to use the alternate detour route. Take Southwest 14th Street, continue onto Ceitus Terrace, and then proceed along Southwest 6th Terrace to access Chiquita Boulevard. Law enforcement officers will be present to assist with traffic flow.
This closure will allow Lee County Electric Cooperative (LCEC) to perform overhead power repairs necessary due to a vehicular crash.
