Pair of Eagle runners earn All-ASUN honors
Florida Gulf Coast Eagles Alise Petrova and Rhyen Foley were both named All-ASUN second team selections at the ASUN Championships on Friday, following top 10 finishes for the Blue and Green while Foley worked her way onto the ASUN All-Freshman Team as well.
After earning third team honors as a freshman, Petrova was named a second team selection on Friday after finishing ninth at the ASUN Championships. She continued her breakout junior season with an 18:18.5 in the 5k to lead FGCU to a program best third place finish as a team.
Foley was right behind Petrova Friday on the course and right behind her on the second team following a 10th place finish with an 18:19.2. The mark was also good enough to put Foley on the ASUN All-Freshman Team during her rookie season.
The Eagles are back on Nov. 13 in Tallahassee when they run in the NCAA South Region Championships.
