Registration underway for FISH of Sanibel-Captiva’s 2026 JOG N JAM
Time is running out to get the best discount on race registration for the 2026 JOG N JAM.
FISH of Sanibel-Captiva’s annual fundraiser will feature the race events on Nov. 7 at The Community House on Sanibel, followed by a concert on Dec. 5 at the ‘Tween Waters Inn & Marina on Captiva.
Set for November, the 10K, 5K Walk/Run and Kids Fun Run invites runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to enjoy a scenic island race filled with energy, connection and community spirit.
“Every person who registers becomes part of something bigger,” FISH Board Member and JOG N JAM Committee Chair Leah Winkler said. “You’re spending a great morning with friends and family, but you’re also helping FISH provide essential programs that support our neighbors every day.”
This year’s event will feature activities before the starting horn and during the awards ceremony. Immediately after the ceremony, attendees are encouraged to stick around to cheer on the youngest runners during the always popular Kids Fun Run.
Entry fees are $45 for the 10K and 5K or $35 for military/veteran and ages 17 and under.
A virtual 10K and 5K are also available for a set $55 entry fee.
The Kids Fun Run is free, but registration is required.
In addition, teams are invited to sign up.
“Businesses, organizations, neighborhoods and groups of friends are encouraged to form a team and join the friendly competition,” FISH reported.
Teams can have unlimited participants, with the five fastest chip times combined to determine the winning team in each race. Team captains are encouraged to recruit at least six participants.
Teams register during the entry process.
Participants already registered who would like to create or join a team should contact Mark Toretsky of Lin-Mark Sports at linmarksports@linmarksports.com; include your name and the name of the team.
FISH noted that several teams are already signed up, including Billy’s Bikes & Rentals, Catching Coastal Realty, the Henderson Franklin Run Club, Sanibel Community Church, Sundial Beach Resort & Spa, and Vietnam Veterans.
Team registration will close on Nov. 6 at noon.
In December, JOG N JAM will continue with the concert on the beach, featuring the Ben Allen Band. It will include two sets, with fireworks at intermission before the band returns to close out the night.
Tickets are $75 for adults or $50 for ages 7-18 and active military/veteran; ages 0-6 are free.
The proceeds from the fundraiser will help support FISH programs and services that strengthen the Sanibel and Captiva communities throughout the year, including food programs, senior services, youth programs, emergency financial assistance, disaster recovery and case management.
“One of my favorite parts of JOG N JAM is watching people encourage one another,” Winkler said. “Whether you’re running for a personal best, walking with coworkers or cheering on friends, there’s a place for everyone. Form a team, join an existing one and spend the morning making a difference in our community.”
