Cape Coral Cyclones third annual Cornhole Tournament fundraiser slated for Sept. 19
The Cape Coral Cyclones ECNL RL Boys are bringing back their 3rd Annual Cornhole Tournament Saturday, Sept. 19, at Torched Bar & Grill in Cape Coral.
Join the Cyclones for a day of fun, friendly competition and community support at the local fundraiser. Teams of two can compete for a chance to win the $300 first place cash prize with a $65 team entry fee. Players are welcome to bring their own favorite cornhole bags, or use the bags provided at the event. Teams will be randomly matched through Scoreholio and compete in a double-elimination bracket format, giving everyone the chance to battle it out for the championship.
Beyond the competition, guests can enjoy an incredible day featuring raffle prizes, a 50/50 cash drawing, food and drinks from Torched Bar & Grill, music, and fun for the entire community. Raffle tickets will be available for $5 each, and last year the community showed incredible support by purchasing nearly 2,000 raffle tickets.
Funds raised from the tournament help offset the costs of league play, tournament travel, training, uniforms and other team expenses, ensuring that every player has the opportunity to compete at the highest level. According to team officials, the goal extends beyond simply raising money — “we are committed to making sure that financial circumstances never become the reason a player is unable to participate.” Every athlete who earns a spot on this team deserves the opportunity to compete without the burden of overwhelming costs. By supporting this fundraiser, the community is helping remove financial barriers and ensuring these young athletes can continue pursuing their passion, building lifelong friendships and representing Southwest Florida with pride.
While their accomplishments on the soccer field have been impressive, what truly sets this team apart is its commitment to serving others. The Cyclones believe that being part of a team means giving back to the community that supports them. Throughout the year, these players volunteer their time with organizations such as Feed My Starving Children, helping pack and distribute meals to families in need around the world. They have served as part of the cleanup crew for the city of Cape Coral’s Red, White & BOOM! celebration, rolled up their sleeves to assist with community cleanup and relief efforts following hurricanes, and stepped up during the COVID-19 pandemic to support local families through food distribution and other community outreach initiatives.
