BASEBALL
Ida Baker 7, SW Florida Christian 6: The Bulldogs (6-7) rallied with a four-run seventh inning to earn the win. Caden Fricano (2-for-4) homered, scored twice and had three RBI. He also worked four innings of shutout relief to earn the pitching victory. Nick Longo doubled and drove in three runs, while Brody Root and Tito Ortiz scored two runs each.
SOFTBALL
Doral Academy 8, Bishop Verot 4: Lilly Kitto drove in two of the four Bishop Verot (7-2) runs. Willa Pagnutti and Emma Hall contributed an RBI each.
Thursday
BASEBALL
Ida Baker 4, First Baptist Academy 0: Ida Baker’s Nick Conticellli pitched a complete-game shutout, holding FBA to two hits and a walk with 10 strikeouts. Tito Ortiz, Caden Fricano and Austin Field drove in a run each for the Bulldogs (5-7).
Bishop Verot 10, Las Vegas Faith Lutheran 1 (6 innings): The Vikings (12-6) finished 3-1 in the Bishop Gorman National Invitational. Tyler Reeder pitched five innings of shutout baseball, holding Faith Lutheran to one hit while striking out 10. At the plate, Joey Lawson was 2-for-4 with a homer and four RBI. Anthony Reiter was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Gulf Coast 9, Bishop Verot 5: Norah Castro and Maddie Shipley scored two goals each for the Vikings (4-4). Samantha Till added a goal.
