Mariner 2, St. Petersburg 1 (2 OT): The Tritons (17-2-2) needed two overtimes to reach the Region 5A-3 final against North Fort Myers. Caroline Orth had a goal and an assist for Mariner. Avery Amaral scored, and Madison Arch contributed an assist. Alexis Nowak got the win in the nets for the Tritons.
North Fort Myers 8, Fort Myers 0: The Red Knights (16-3-2) had no trouble with the Green Wave, setting up a winner-take-all match at Mariner. Jaelyn Hoefer scored twice and added an assist, and Kaitlyn Heuglin had a goal and two assists to lead North. Bailey Root and Agnelia Toro had a goal and an assist each, and Eliana Toro, Caeyn lewis and Laila Bathey scored a goal apiece. Rosalyn Lopez added an assist. Hope Cordero had the shutout in goal.

Barron Collier 9, North Fort Myers 2: Caedon Conn had two hits and an RBI for the Red Knights (1-1). Blaize Baldepina drove in the other North run.
Bishop Verot 6, Palmetto Ridge 3: Jake Sedmack drove in two runs for the Vikings (2-0). Joey Lawson, Kyle Green and Carter Chalder had an RBI each. Three Bishop Verot pitchers combined for 12 strikeouts.
BOYS LACROSSE
Venice 8, Bishop Verot 7: The Vikings lost a close one to open the season.
