BASEBALL

Oasis 15, Gateway Charter 2: Caiden Dusel drove in four Sharks runs, going 3-for-4 with two doubles. Oasis (10-6) also got a home run and two RBI from Noah Pinney, while Aiden Bonagura was 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored. Tanner Goff was the winning pitcher.

Mariner 6, LaBelle 0: Ryan Kotarski had two hits including a double, driving in two Tritons runs. Trenton Taylor also had an RBI. Max Gonzalez pitched 4 1/3 innings of shutout baseball for the Mariner (9-12) win.

Bishop Verot 4, North Port 2: Maddix Simpson was 3-for-4 with a triple, driving in two runs, to lead the Vikings (17-5). Brett Flock was the winning pitcher, with Blake Lavenia and Jason Bello combining for four shutout innings in relief.

SOFTBALL

Cape Coral 25, Dunbar 7 (3 innings): Emma Brannan was 3-for-3 with a triple, home run and four RBI for the Seahawks (8-8). Mya Ramirez had three RBI, and Marina Bealuieu, Emma White, Allie Buice and Kali De La Cruz had two each.

Port Charlotte 16, Oasis 1 (5 innings): Emma Neujahr stole two bases and scored for the Sharks (5-12).

Monday’s semifinals

Canterbury 12, Fort Myers 5: The Cougars (6-6) upset top-seeded Fort Myers (10-4) to reach the district final Wednesday at Bishop Verot.

Bishop Verot 14, Cape Coral 7: Daphne O’Hara scored five goals and made an assist, Piper Kelleher had five goals, three draw controls and four ground balls, and Lily Lockard had two goals and four assists for the Vikings (5-9). The Seahawks fell to 9-5

Community School of Naples 14, Barron Collier 3: Top-seeded CSN is 14-4.

Bishop Verot 22, Canterbury 15: The Vikings (15-4) travel to Community School of Naples for Wednesday’s championship.

BASEBALL

Sarasota Cardinal Mooney 2, Bishop Verot 1 (8 innings): Anthony Reitler drove in the tying run for the Vikings (16-5) in the seventh inning, only to have Cardinal Mooney win it in the bottom of the eighth.

SOFTBALL

Coral Springs Charter 9, Bishop Verot 4: The Vikings slipped to 13-3-1 with a loss in the Longshore Tournament.

Friday

BASEBALL

Island Coast 3, North Fort Myers 1: Anthony Ruiz went the distance on the mound for Island Coast, allowing two hits and one unearned run with nine strikeouts. North’s Matthew Blasena took the loss despite holding the Gators (12-8) to four hits, one earned run (two unearned) while striking out eight in five innings. The Red Knights fell to 6-12.

Imagine School North Port 12, Oasis 2: Sean Osborn singled in both Sharks (9-6) runs.

SOFTBALL

Oasis 18, Clewiston 2 (4 innings): The Sharks (5-11) posted an 11-run third inning on their way to the victory. Brooklyn Simison (4-for-4) and Jetta Fisher (3-for-3) had three RBI each. Maelyn Simison and Charlee Turney both were 3-for-3.

Evangelical Christian 9, North Fort Myers 6: Azlynn Gomes drove in two runs for the Red Knights (13-3). Abigail Hynes went 3-for-3.
