Mackenzie De Lisle of Bishop Verot won the 1600 and 3200 meter races, and was also part of the Vikings’ winning 4×400 and 4×800 relay teams. Sofia Roman took the 400 hurdles for the district champions. Oasis was led by Erin Vezzola (first in 100 hurdles) and Jazlyn Forbes (first in 800 meters).

James Little IV paced the district champion Vikings, winning the triple jump, 110 hurdles and 400 hurdles. He also was part of the winning 4×400 relay team. Other district event champs for Bishop Verot included Ryan Peterson (discus), Parker Turner (javelin), Jadrien Carmo (400 meters) and Zachary Engel (3200). Truman Wiedner of Oasis finished first in the 1600.

BASEBALL
North Fort Myers 2, Riverdale 0: Three pitchers combined on the shutout for the Red Knights (8-15). Payton Stirrup worked three innings, allowing one hit, the Derek Hooker and Matthew Blasena pitched two innings each. Nick Tobia doubled in a run for north, and Austin Bostwick’s sacrifice fly brought in the other run.
Island Coast 5, Evangelical Christian 4: The Gators (16-9) held off a late ECS (17-4) rally for the victory. Mason Blackburn led the Island Coast attack with a home run and three runs batted in. Isaac Lopez added an RBI. Anthony Ruiz was the winning pitcher, with Hunter Fretwell earning the save.
Cape Coral 10, Lehigh 6: Cape Coral won five of its last six (7-18).

Ida Baker 7, Port Charlotte 2: The Bulldogs (12-8) broke a 2-all tie in the bottom of the third and tacked on four more runs for the win. Makayla Nieves homered and tripled, driving in three Ida Baker runs. Alyssa Auger had two RBI.
Bradenton Inspiration Academy 8, Bishop Verot 0: The Vikings finished the regular season 18-6-1 after being shut out by Inspiration (21-6). Verot had won its previous seven home games.
