GIRLS BASKETBALL

Bishop Verot 51, Lehigh 38: The Vikings (18-6) won their final regular-season game behind 16 points from Caroline Ward and 11 from Cameron O’Halloran.

Ida Baker 46, Cypress Lake 42: The Bulldogs (16-5) were led by Julianna Nieves’ 19 points in their regular-season finale.

Babcock 28, North Fort Myers 22: North (11-11) will go into the district tournament on a three-game losing streak.

BOYS BASKETBALL

LaBelle 64, Island Coast 54: The Gators (11-12) face Dunbar in the District 5A-11 tournament on Tuesday.

First Baptist Academy 63, Mariner 59: Mariner’s six-game winning streak came to an end against FBA (20-4). The Tritons (15-9) had already secured the top seed in next week’s District 5A-11 tournament.

GIRLS SOCCER

REGION 3A-2: Bishop Verot and Oasis earned berths in the region field, playing each other in Tuesday’s opening round. The Vikings are the second seed in the region, while the Sharks are the seventh seed.

REGION 5A-3: Mariner and North Fort Myers are the top two seeds in the 5A-2 region playoffs. Mariner will be at home against Sanford Seminole on Feb. 13. As for the Red Knights, they will play host to Seminole Osceola the same evening. If the bracket shakes out as predicted, North and Mariner would battle for a spot in the state Class 5A final four.

BOYS SOCCER

REGION 3A-2: Bishop Verot holds the third seed and will open play Tuesday with a home match against Davenport Four Corners.

REGION 5A-3: Mariner will be the fourth seed in the region, playing host to Lely in the first round Feb 13.
