A 10-run second-inning uprising by H.D. Jacobs rocked the Cape Coral Seahawks back on their heels as the visitors from Illinois went on to win a 16-5 rout.

The Seahawks responded to the 10-run burst with three runs in the third inning, but were unable to climb all the way back from the deep deficit.

Jacobs outhit Cape 15-7 and the Seahawks were guilty of six errors. Starting pitcher Derek Pandolfi took the loss.

The Seahawks (3-12) host Ida Baker while Jacobs moves on to face Mariner Thursday night.

Charlotte 5, Island Coast 1: Charlotte pushed across three runs in the fourth inning to take command despite being outhit in a victory over Island Coast Wednesday night.

Taylor Renegar (4-2) took the loss on the mound for the Gators, but he and Jordan Moody collected two hits apiece. Moody had the lone RBI.

The Gators (8-7) host H.D. Jacobs Friday night.
