Tedhams named Athlete of the Month for October
The votes are in for the Cape Coral Breeze’s October Athlete of the Month, and the winner is Cape Coral High School’s Taylor Tedhams.
The Seahawk sophomore won the 200-meter freestyle race at the Lee County Athletic Conference Championships, and she was part of the winning 200-medley and 400-freestyle relay teams. Tedhams added a second place in the 100 backstroke.
At the Region 3A-3 meet where Cape Coral finished second, Tedhams set a pool record in the 200 backstroke (59:23). She was also fourth in the 200 freestyle, a race in which the top six swimmers all bested the pool record.
