French was tops in the 126-lb division at the John Joyce Memorial in North Port. He was named one of two “outstanding wrestlers” at the tournament, and took down a previously undefeated opponent to pick up the win. He has a record of 33-1 on the year.

“I felt pretty good the whole tournament. I was building, pinned, and then beat a top-five wrestler in the finals by major, so that was pretty awesome. I’m just working on being consistent and continuing to train.”

Island Coast Gators

The Gator guard helped the Gators to a 2-1 record during his nomination week, including a big 31-point game versus Naples Classical Academy. Over three games, Bido averaged 20 points, five rebounds, four assists and five steals.

“I came into the week feeling really good and confident in my abilities and our talent as a team. When it comes to improving my game, I just make it a point to be consistent in practice and always put in the work that I know I have to so that I can keep being the best athlete I can be.”
