One of the top quarterbacks in the region showed why he’s a special player during Bishop Verot’s Week 1 win versus Port Charlotte. Smith showed off his prowess through the air and with his legs, going 15-for-22 for 336 yards and five passing touchdowns, while rushing for 84 yards. He posted a 150.6 quarterback rating for the game.

The junior quarterback helped lead the Sharks to an opening-week win over Gateway Charter, going 7-for-9 through the air for 170 yards and four touchdown passes.
