Devine captured three LCAC Championships; two as an individual in the 200M and long jump, and was part of the winning 4X100 relay team. She was also runner-up in the 100M.

“I feel very proud of my accomplishments. I’m only a freshman and have way more room and potential to grow so I know I have a lot to look forward to in the future. I hope to improve as the season progresses by continuing to keep working hard and having winning mentality.”

Buzzelli won the Region 2A-4 traditional weightlifting championship at 169 pounds thanks to a dominant performance in the bench press. The senior already had the class won with his first lift of 335 pounds, but he went on to up his bench press to 355, giving him a total score of 585 pounds.

“It feels awesome being able to bring home the win at regionals. Looking forward to states, I’m nervous but have never been more confident. I have been working towards this moment for 3 years now and my lifts have never been better so I plan on taking home the gold.”
