Cape Coral Seahawk swimmer Daynna Franklyn named November Athlete of the Month
The votes are in for the Cape Coral Breeze’s November Athlete of the Month, and the winner is Cape Coral High School’s Daynna Franklyn.
The junior swimmer was the District 3A-8 champion in the 50 freestyle, and was on two first-place relay teams in the 200 IM and 400 free. She was also second in the 100 free.
“It feels amazing to be a District Champion, and has been a goal I’ve been working toward all season,” Franklyn told The Breeze during her nomination week. “To finally put it together when it mattered most means a lot. I’ve been really focused on my technique, details and consistency at practice. My coaches and teammates have been a huge part of my success this year. I’m even more excited to see what our team can do next at regionals.”
