Vote your pocketbook
To the editor:
It seems our double-my-own-paycheck mayor is getting nervous at the governor’s plan to end property taxes for homesteads.
Well, what do we say to this property taxes pickpocket who has blundered so much already? How much again for that nice Jaycee Park remodel with two huge ponds whenever it rains? Brilliant engineering there, and way to go with the Yacht Club — many of us will be dead before that is finished. Four years and no fishing pier. It’s, Hey, shut up, I’m busy throwing people who disagree with me out of council meetings.
Come on, we are doing great, we all have extra money, we could pay for doubled salaries and pet projects, maybe Meals on Wheels will stop by.
Well, people, don’t let him.
We will not lose any services. The governor, unlike our mayor, has a huge surplus of funds. Just be sure we get out and vote like crazy. Everyone, it will be better for us all, especially small businesses, if we have more money to spend.
