They paved paradise
To the editor:
We drove to Jaycee Park a couple weeks ago and I don’t know if I was so upset about the change that I missed a walkway. It may have just stopped at the parking lot over a borrowing owl nest where I would see dad owl on a tree overlooking mom by the nest.
That doesn’t exist anymore.
No tree, no owl perch. No more nest. All in the “name” of progress, destroy the wild creatures that live there.
I will not step foot there again if I can help it. I am sure the residents that live there can’t be happy either. The memories of our first dog that loved that park are only just that, a memory. Our second dog, who as a puppy would shake just getting close to the water but later outgrew the nervousness, and our new puppy that would probably needs to be held down because he loves the water, will never see this park.
I am so saddened I don’t even know if they brought back the little free library where I took books as well as gave most of mine to.
Sincerely giving my grievance about the change.
