Clifton C. Hinson
Clifton C. Hinson, 84, of Cape Coral, passed away Friday, March 6, 2009. He was born Feb. 18, 1925, in Goldsboro, N.C., to Eddie and Florence (nee Alphin) Hinson.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy as a Seaman 2nd Class.
He was employed as the director of calibration for Coulter Electronics in Hialeah, Fla., a volunteer with Kiwanis and enjoyed searching and collecting unique items for his home.
He is survived by his loving family, including his daughter, Suzette Konsavage of Signal Mountain, Tenn; grandchildren, Priscilla Konsavage Peterson of Ooltewah, Tenn., Gina Konsavage of Signal Mountain, Tenn., and Perry Konsavage of Chattanooga, Tenn; great-grandchildren, Aaron, Jeremy and Thomas; brother-in-law, Stan Standa; and sister-in-law, Ruth Standa of Cape Coral.
He was predeceased by his wife, Sabena, in 2000.
Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 Pine Island Road. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the funeral. Entombment will follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
