Edward F. Carney
Edward F. Carney, of Cape Coral, formerly of Brentwood, N.Y., died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008. He was born in 1934 in New York.
He served his country honorably with the U.S. Navy.
He moved to Cape Coral in 1988. He was an active member and former commander of VFW Post 8463 in Cape Coral.
He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy; loving father of Kathleen Reiss, Edward Carney, Eileen Brzozowski, Doreen Palestrant, Timothy Carney, Kevin Carney and the late Robert Carney; cherished grandfather of 11; dearest brother of Kathryn; and was loved by many nieces and nephews and friends in Long Island and Florida.
A celebration of life will take place at 1 p.m. Sunday at VFW Post 8463.
