Irene Baxter McCarthy
Irene Baxter McCarthy, 69, of Cape Coral, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center. She was born March 19, 1939, in Philadelphia, Pa., a daughter of Richard W. and Irene Virginia Young Baxter, now deceased.
She was retired from the medical data entry profession. She had devoted her life to her loving family.
She is survived by her husband, John (Jack) McCarthy of Cape Coral; children, John R. McCarthy, Cheryl Furman, Cynthia McColgan and Cathleen Sheppard; grandchildren, Jimmy, Diana, Kristy, Tommy, Richie, Devin, Caitlin, Ashley, Daniel, Dalton, Dante, John, Dylan and Colin; great-grandson, Matthew; and sister, Louise Fox.
The funeral will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the chapel of Coral Ridge Funeral Home. The family will be present to receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service Sunday.
