Election 2026 | Question of the Week 16, Mayor’s Race | What final message do you want voters to take to the polls?
Each week through the General Election, The Breeze will ask the candidates for Cape Coral City Council an issue-related question. In the interest of fairness, each candidate is limited to the same amount of space, about 100 words, for their response.
Cape Coral City Council races are non-partisan races. Council members qualify in their respective districts but are elected at-large. This means all registered city voters may cast a ballot in each race regardless of where they live and the party to which they are affiliated, if any. This year’s General Election, on Nov. 3, features four Cape Coral City Council races: Mayor and the seats for District 1, 4 and 6.
The candidates below are running for the mayor’s seat on the Cape Coral City Council:

This is the most important mayoral race our city has ever faced.
There is a distinct difference between a “nice guy” and a good leader. Nice guys rarely say no, but true leadership, much like parenting, requires making the hard choices for the greater good. As the Rolling Stones famously sung, “You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find you get what you need.” I have a proven track record of fighting for what is right, not what is easy, and I will always fight for the city that raised me. A vote for me is a commitment to the residents, not the city bureaucracy or developers. By voting Yes on Amendment 3, we will keep government out of your pockets and safeguard your hard-earned money from backdoor fees. I am here strictly to look out for our residents and lighten your burdens.

This election is about who you trust with your money and your future. The UEP assessments hitting families with $35,000-$41,000, that’s not progress, that’s a burden.
The drainage failing, the empty buildings, residents have been ignored long enough.
I retired as a Green Beret/Ranger & Sergeant Major with over 32 years. I’ve led men through the hardest conditions on earth, and I know how to get the mission done without wasting resources.
I’ll fight for grants, cut the waste, fix the drainage, and make sure developers pay their share. When it rains, it drains. Your voice comes first.
Cape Coral deserves a leader who shows up and fights for you. I’m that leader.
