Each week through the General Election, The Breeze will ask the candidates for Cape Coral City Council an issue-related question. In the interest of fairness, each candidate is limited to the same amount of space, about 100 words, for their response.

Cape Coral City Council races are non-partisan races. Council members qualify in their respective districts but are elected at-large. This means all registered city voters may cast a ballot in each race regardless of where they live and the party to which they are affiliated, if any. This year’s General Election, on Nov. 3, features four Cape Coral City Council races: Mayor and the seats for District 1, 4 and 6.

Question of the Week: What final message do you want voters to take to the polls?

I simply ask you to think about the kind of leadership you want at City Hall. I’ve spent my life in Cape Coral, raised my family here and have watched our city grow.

We have important decisions ahead about growth, infrastructure, public safety, and how we spend your tax dollars. I’ll bring a common-sense approach, ask the difficult questions, listen to residents, and always remember that elected officials work for you.

When you cast your vote, I hope you’ll choose someone who knows and loves this community and is ready to work every day to protect what makes Cape Coral such a special place to call home. I would be honored to earn your vote and serve you.

Cape Coral is my home. I grew up here, raised my family here, and have spent most of my life giving back to this community. I’ve seen how far we’ve come, and I know we still have work to do. I’m not running because I think I have all the answers. I’m running because I care about this city and the people who call it home. I’m willing to listen, ask the hard questions, and stand up for what I believe is right. My commitment to Cape Coral didn’t start with this election, and it certainly won’t end with it.
