Cape Coral to host North 3 UEP Homeowner Informational Meeting
The City of Cape Coral will hold a North 3 UEP Homeowner Informational Meeting from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19, in Council Chambers at City Hall.
This meeting is only for property owners in the Utilities Extension Project area and is not intended for property owners in other UEP areas or other locations within the city, city officials said in a release issued Wednesday,
The meeting will be open-house style, so residents can come anytime from 5 to 8 p.m.
“North 3 property owners will have the opportunity to speak directly with City Finance staff about their individual assessment, available payment options, and eligibility for the hardship program,” the release states. “Assessment packets will be mailed to North 3 property owners in advance of the meeting. Attendees are encouraged to bring their packet for review and discussion.’
Representatives from several project-related areas will be available to answer questions, including:
• Finance staff: Individual assessments, payment questions, and hardship-program eligibility.
• Contractors: Construction activities, anticipated schedules, and property-specific work.
• Species consultant: Environmental considerations and protected-species requirements.
• Florida Department of Health representatives: Septic systems, public-health considerations, and regulatory requirements.
• UEP staff: Overall project information, coordination, and next steps.
The North 3 UEP is moving toward construction, which is anticipated to begin by the end of 2026 and continue for approximately two years, with completion anticipated by the end of 2028.
Cape Coral City Hall is at 1015 Cultural Park Blvd. Council Chambers are on the second floor.
