Council to conduct evaluations of city manager, attorney and others
The Cape Coral City Council will hold a special meeting Wednesday to discuss four employee evaluations, including the city manager’s and city attorney’s.
Evaluations to be discussed include City Attorney Aleksandr Boksner, City Manager Michael Ilczyszyn, City Auditor Andrea Russell and Assistant Officer Manager Connie Griglin.
Boksner received a 3.3, “above standard” on last year’s evaluation and a 7.25% raise, pushing his annual salary to $320,609.69. His new contract was also extended for three years until Aug. 13, 2029.
Boksner was appointed as the city attorney in 2023.
Last year Ilczyszyn received a 4.0 — above average — on his evaluation and an increase of $22,779.85 in his salary from $314,204.80 to $336,984.65.
He was appointed to the city’s top administrative post on Sept. 20, 2023, after serving as interim city manager.
The meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, in Conference Room 220A at City Hall, at 1015 Cultural Park Blvd., Cape Coral.
The meeting is open to the public but will not be live streamed.
City spokesperson Kaitlyn Mullen said the meeting will be held in the conference room because employee evaluations are treated more like a working session than a regular legislative meeting.
