Portions of Four Mile Cove Preserve temporarily closed for boardwalk repairs
The city of Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department have closed portions of Four Mile Cove Preserve, 2500 SE 24th St., beginning today, Aug. 17.
The closures include the boardwalk, piers, parking, restrooms, visitor center and the Veterans Memorial. Park programs will also be postponed.
The kayak launch, docks and picnic area located on Kayak Shack Road will remain open during the closure. All amenities are expected to reopen Wednesday, Sept. 30.
This partial closure is necessary to complete boardwalk repairs. The boardwalk was damaged from past hurricane-related storm surge, and contractors will be performing some repair work to portions of the boardwalk. Signs will be posted on-site to notify park visitors during the closure.
