FDOT announces unexpected northbound lane closures of Business U.S. 41 over the Edison Bridge
The Florida Department of Transportation this morning announced an unexpected double‑lane closure has been implemented on the northbound outside lanes and shoulder of the Edison Bridge in Fort Myers. The inside travel lane remains fully open to motorists. Crews are currently on site performing necessary work on the bridge plates.
Drivers are advised to reduce speed and use caution when traveling through the work zone. Law enforcement officers are present to assist motorists and help maintain a safe traffic flow.
