Lee County Tax Collector hosting ‘Stock a Classroom’ supply drive to support local teachers
The Lee County Tax Collector’s Office is hosting its third annual “Stock a Classroom” supply drive in support of local educators.
Now through Aug. 14, the community is invited to drop off school supplies at any of the Tax Collector’s five service center locations. Donation boxes will be conveniently located inside each office to collect in-demand items like pencils, pens, crayons, arts and crafts supplies, puzzles, dry erase markers and glue sticks. The drive aligns with Florida’s Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday, making it a great time to purchase.
“Teachers give so much to help their students succeed, and something as simple as classroom supplies can make a meaningful difference,” said Noelle Branning, Lee County Tax Collector and executive board member of The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools. “‘Stock a Classroom’ gives our community an easy way to show local educators that we appreciate and support them.”
All donations will benefit the Education Resource Center at The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools, which provides teachers with free supplies to help students succeed in the classroom.
For those unable to drop off items in person, donations can also be made via the foundation’s Amazon Wishlist or Walmart Wishlist, with items shipped directly to the Education Resource Center.
