Cape woman killed in early-morning crash in Fort Myers
A 35-year-old Cape Coral woman was killed this morning in a single-vehicle accident on College Parkway in Fort Myers.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman, who was driving a 2017 Kia Rio, was traveling west on College Parkway in the inside lane at 5:15 a.m. when the accident occurred.
The report states that as the driver approached the intersection of Premier Boulevard, the car traveled off the roadway to the south and entered the center median where it collided with a tree.
FHP reported the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
