The primary race for District 6 includes five candidates. Cape Coral voters may cast a ballot in every council race in both the Primary and General Election no matter where they live in the city or their party of record.
Candidate name: Joseph Angrisano
Age: 73
Education/degrees: Revere High School, Massachusetts; Education courses at Boston University and Marketing classes at Northeastern University.
Occupation and place of employment: Former Digital Marketing/Social Media Marketing/Reputation Manager for Herb Chambers Companies, Massachusetts, and same position at LocatePlus, Massachusetts including website build outs, edits, content and monitoring. Currently working part-time, Home Depot, Cape Coral.

Business experience applicable to the office you are seeking: While employed in the private sector, I had the privilege of always reporting directly to the president, CEO and/or the owner of the company. During my time at the Herb Chamber Companies reported to the owner and various upper management weekly with critical performance data that included my social media marketing numbers, reputation management results, website traffic reports, current and future projects and executive summaries distributed to the owner and appropriate managers. The Herb Chamber Companies was seeing a gross revenue of two billion dollars while selling over 60,000 cars per year through fifty dealerships; a half a billion dollars over the current 1.4 billion dollar Cape Coral budget.

Civic/Community involvement: Deeply committed to environmental stewardship and Southwest Florida’s unique ecosystem. I have built, updated and maintained multiple informative websites dedicated to increasing public awareness of local politics, government accountability, and critical environmental issues — including wildlife protection, water quality, pollution, and ecological challenges facing Cape Coral and Florida communities.

Business experience applicable to the office you are seeking: Over 30+ years of public service. Extensive leadership and management experience overseeing teams, division directors, budgets, operations and strategic planning within a large government organization. Responsible for administering multi-million dollar budgets and supporting a five-county judicial circuit with more than 300 employees. Experienced in policy implementation, contract review, personnel management, fiscal accountability and long range planning. In addition to my public sector leadership experience, helped manage a small family-owned business, overseeing operations, budgeting, customer relations, vendor coordination and strategic development, providing firsthand insight into the challenges faced by entrepreneurs.

Business experience applicable to the office you are seeking: Began professional career in technology, working at IBM in Poughkeepsie, New York; later held technology and project management roles with Chase Manhattan Bank, Shearson Lehman Hutton, and Merrill Lynch going on to serve as vice president and manager of Interactive Sales for the National Sales Group, followed by a role as vice president and manager of Interactive Sales for the International Sales Group. After 9/11/2001, transitioned into real estate. Fully retired in 2020 and currently holds no active licenses or real estate holdings beyond his primary residence.

Business experience applicable to the office you are seeking: Budgeting, financial oversight, and strategic planning experience through leadership roles with the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral ($800,000 budget), Cape Coral Museum of History ($150,000 budget), and American Legion Riders ($40,000 budget). I serve on the Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee and was appointed to the Citizens Rental Advisory Committee, helping review rental registration and compliance policies.
