America 250 | Salute to America — 250th Anniversary
Cape Coral Museum of History is celebrating our country’s 250th anniversary with a new exhibit.
Salute to America – 250th Anniversary exhibit is centered around the key moments that shaped America over the last 250 years.
The exhibit’s display begins in 1776 with the signing of the declaration and continues through the years including World War I and II, Apollo 11, and many more interesting moments.
The Cape Coral Museum of History also called on the public to assist in the exhibit that pays homage to 250 years of independence for the United States.
The museum sourced photographs from residents of American flags flown in Cape Coral — from local car dealerships and businesses, to ones flown in front yards.
The photos contributed to a mosaic representing the American Flag.
The museum sought out 250 photographs, each symbolizing a year in America’s history.
The museum recently had a preview event and Uncle Sam delivered invitations to invites all over town.
He may even be at the museum when you visit.

Cape Coral Museum of History Executive Director Janel Trull said the exhibit is titled “Salute to America — 250th Anniversary”
The temporary exhibition is on display as part of a regular museum tour now through the end of the year.
The Cape Coral Museum of History is at 544 Cultural Park Boulevard, Cape Coral.
