‘Stuff the Bus’ school supply drive gets under way Monday
A local builder is partnering with community members to provide school supplies for the upcoming school year.
Bahnam Builders has announced its upcoming “Stuff the Bus” community school supply drive, which takes place this June.
The community-wide donation drive runs June 1 through June 19, with drop-offs accepted daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 4218 S.W. 17th Ave. in Cape Coral.
Organizers state the event aims to collect backpacks, school supplies, and essential classroom items for local students and families. Community members are encouraged to stop by, donate supplies, and help make a positive impact on children in need throughout the area.
The goal is to help local students start the school year “Ready to Learn.”
“At Bahnam Builders, we believe building strong communities goes beyond building homes,” said Alan Bahnam of Bahnam Builders. “Stuff the Bus is an opportunity for all of us to come together and support local students by helping ensure they start the school year with the tools and confidence they need to succeed.”
Community sponsors supporting this year’s event include Bahnam Builders, Oasis High School, LMCU, Staples, Christian Life Fellowship, CCCIA, and Cici’s Pizza.
The event will feature:
• A School Bus as a collection station
• Opportunities for local businesses to participate and sponsor donations
Requested donation items include:
• Backpacks
• Notebooks & folders
• Pens, pencils, markers, crayons
• Glue sticks & scissors
• Other classroom essentials
