Overnight lane closures this weekend on the Little Pine Island Bridge
MATLACHA, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation reports there will be overnight lane closures on the Little Pine Island Bridge from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on the following dates:
n Friday evening, Feb. 20, through Saturday morning, Feb. 21
n Sunday evening, Feb. 22, through Monday morning, Feb. 23
During these times, paving operations will be conducted on the Little Pine Island Bridge. Flaggers will be present on site to assist with traffic control.
Motorists are asked to continue exercising caution and to reduce speeds while traveling through the work zone.
Please note that construction schedules remain subject to change due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.
FDOT reports that the bridge reconstruction will deliver long-term improvements to the transportation infrastructure serving Pine Island and the surrounding communities.
