CRA governing board to consider grant awards
The South Cape Community Redevelopment Agency governing board will consider two Breaking Barriers to Business Grant program requests Wednesday.
Taco Worx Downtown, LLC and Tiki Tails Dog Resort, LLC each have applied for $50,000 grant awards.
Taco Worx, at 1017 Cape Coral Parkway, E., Suite B, entered into a five-year lease on Feb. 15, 2024 with two five-year extensions “with the adjacent unit in order to obtain the adequate space to open a speakeasy bar by the name of Escondido Lounge and a sushi restaurant by the James Beard award wining Chef Bradley Kilgore.”
The expansion of the building included the relocation and upgrade of a two-hour fire wall and the fire alarm system, as well as the upgrade of the heating ventilation air conditioning system with additional ducts and updating the electrical work. The total project investment was $261,519.15.
Tiki Tails Dog Resort, LLC, at 4414 S.E. 16th Place, offers pet boarding, daycare, grooming and veterinary services. The business built an 8,400-square-foot building for a dog resort with indoor and outdoor play areas, four grooming rooms, private boarding kennels and veterinary services. The total project investment is $2,045,722.
The meeting also will feature an update on CRA projects.
The meeting will take place at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, at 1015 Cultural Park Blvd. The meeting is open to the public.
