New traffic signal at Del Prado and Averill Boulevards to become fully operational today
A new traffic signal at the intersection of Del Prado Boulevard and Averill Boulevard is scheduled to become fully operational Tuesday, July 29.
The signal will transition to full operation, functioning as a standard traffic light to manage vehicle flow and improve safety at the intersection, city officials said.
The contractor, in coordination with Lee County, turned on the signal in flash mode last week to alert drivers of the new installation and allow for final inspections.
The city urges motorists to drive with caution as they adjust to the new traffic pattern.
