The pilot of a single-engine plane made an emergency landing this morning in northeast Cape Coral.

According to a Facebook post, the Cape Coral Fire Department received a call at approximately 10 a.m. concerning an aircraft crash in the area of Vogiantzis Parkway and Gator Circle in northern Cape Coral. When CCFD crews arrived, they found only the pilot inside the plane. He was uninjured.

According to CCFD, the aircraft had earlier departed from the Pine Shadows Airpark in North Fort Myers.

As a precaution, CCFD crews surrounded the aircraft with a special foam. No fire was seen or reported.
