Cape Coral police have arrested a pair of 12-year-olds and an older teen in connection with vandalism at Gulf Coast Baptist Church.

The two girls, one from Cape Coral, the other from North Fort Myers, and 17-year-old Hannah E. Wolfe of Cape Coral each have been charged with burglary and criminal mischief in connection to the incident that resulted in an estimated $20,000 in damages, according to the Cape Coral Police Department.

Police said an anonymous tip led to one of the arrests.

The incident was captured on video.

Police say three individuals caught on the video destroyed property and wrote inappropriate language on the walls of the church around 2:20 a.m. on Oct. 18. The video also shows those same individuals trying to access vehicles nearby, police said.

According to CCPD’s report, there was significant damage to approximately seven rooms of the church building. The report states officers found spray paint (including obscenities) on various walls, damaged electronics (computers, TVs), cleaning chemicals spread over the ceilings, carpet and laminate wood floors and the contents of a refrigerator spread throughout.

“The damage was extensive,” the CCPD release states.

An open window was observed on the south side of the building according to CCPD’s report and no person(s) were found inside.

Gulf Coast Baptist Church is at 312 S.E. 24th Ave.
