Father arrested for baby’s death
CLEARWATER (AP) – Police said a man on Florida’s Gulf coast has been arrested in connection to his baby son’s death.Clearwater police say Jose Ruiz-Lopez, 25, faces a second-degree murder charge.Police say he shook his 5-week-old son and threw him on the tile floor following an argument with the baby’s mother on Saturday.Authorities said the parents later called 911 because the baby was vomiting and unresponsive. The baby was taken to a hospital where he died. An autopsy revealed he died from blunt force trauma.
It was not immediately known if Ruiz-Lopez had an attorney.
