Free museum garden tours
Master Gardeners will host free museum garden tours Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Cape Coral Museum of History.
Master Gardeners, representing the University of Florida, will show you Florida native and friendly plants in a landscape setting. You will see how the mature plants will look in your yard and learn about the nine principles of responsible gardening. See the new butterfly garden. Learn what plants are host and nectar plants for butterflies.
There is a new food forest with some plants that won’t grow in the cold northern parts of our country. The tours and parking are free. No reservations are needed except for parties of six or more.
The museum will be open for docent-led tours.
The Cape Coral Museum of History is at 544 Cultural Park Blvd. Call 239-772-7037 for more information.
