CCFW to hold forum for city candidates
The Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife (CCFW) will host a Candidate Forum on Environmental Issues for the mayoral and city council races Tuesday, Oct. 20, at the Rotary Park Environmental Center.
All eight candidates have confirmed that they will participate.
A meet-and-greet will take place at 6:30 p.m., followed by the forum questions and answers at 7 p.m.
The CCFW plans to ask the candidates a series of questions about environmental issues in the Cape, including Redfish Point, the old golf course, clean water, a citizens environmental committee, burrowing owls and tortoise conservation, rat poison, grant money and more.
The candidate forum is open to the public; the community is encouraged to attend.
