UF/IFAS Extension Lee County announces recipients of SWFL Ag Expo scholarships
The 2026 Southwest Florida Agricultural Exposition (SWFL Ag Expo) raised funds to support educational scholarships for 4-H and FFA senior youth participants.
The scholarships were open to any senior youth ages 14-18 who participated as a livestock or creative living exhibitor at the SWFL Ag Expo.
The scholarships are intended to assist recipients in pursuing future educational opportunities.
This year’s scholarship winners are:
• SWFL 4-H/FFA Agricultural Expo Senior Scholarship ($1,000)
Criteria: Open to any senior division youth who exhibited
Recipient: Whitney Taylor of Punta Gorda
• SWFL 4-H/FFA Extension Food Systems Scholarship ($500)
Criteria: Open to any senior division youth who exhibited a market swine or steer
Recipient: Isabella Garcia of Fort Myers
• SWFL 4-H/FFA Leadership Scholarship ($500)
Criteria: Open to any senior division youth who exhibited
Recipient: Cheyenne Coleman of Alva
• SWFL 4-H/FFA Exemplary Citizenship Scholarship ($700)
Criteria: Open to any senior division youth who exhibited
Recipient: Alexa Zellman, of Fort Myer
• SWFL 4-H/FFA Mike Green-well Graduating Senior Scholarship ($1,200)
Criteria: Open only to graduating FFA and 4-H senior youth who participated
Recipient: Kamilliah Rice of North Fort Myers
The scholarships underscore the commitment of the Lee County Board of County Commissioners and UF/IFAS Extension Lee County to support youth development and the future of agriculture in Southwest Florida.
The 2027 Southwest Florida Agricultural Exposition will take place from Feb. 25 through March 7.
