Executive Home Care of Fort Myers honors outstanding dementia caregiver during Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month
Chatanaelle Philippe recognized through national Loved01 Cares initiative for exceptional compassion and dedication
In recognition of Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, Executive Home Care of Fort Myers has honored caregiver Chatanaelle Philippe with the Loved01 Cares “Live Like a Legend” Caregiver Recognition Initiative for her exceptional compassion and commitment to individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
Philippe was selected from a team of dedicated caregivers for her ability to provide calm, person-centered care while supporting clients and families through some of the most difficult stages of dementia.
The recognition is part of a nationwide caregiver appreciation initiative through Loved01 Cares, celebrating caregivers who make a meaningful difference in the lives of families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
“Chatanaelle exemplifies everything Executive Home Care stands for,” said Danika Thorpe, Director of Operations for Executive Home Care of Fort Myers. “She has an incredible ability to see the person beyond the disease. While dementia changes memory, behaviors and personalities, she continues to provide every client with dignity, respect, compassion and unconditional kindness.”
Throughout her time with Executive Home Care, Philippe has cared for individuals experiencing both the physical and behavioral challenges associated with dementia while offering reassurance and emotional support to spouses and family members navigating difficult transitions.
Her recognition comes at a particularly meaningful time. One of the clients she recently cared for passed away, while another family made the difficult decision to transition a loved one into memory care. Her compassion and steady presence helped provide comfort during both journeys.
According to the Alzheimer’s Association, more than 11 million Americans provide unpaid care for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias. Professional caregivers also play a vital role in supporting families and helping individuals remain safely at home for as long as possible.
“Our caregivers are the heart of everything we do,” Thorpe said. “This award recognizes one remarkable caregiver while honoring every member of our team who walks beside families during some of life’s most challenging moments. We are incredibly proud of the compassion and excellence Chatanaelle brings to every client.”
Executive Home Care of Fort Myers is also a credentialed GUIDE Model provider, expanding access to dementia care resources and respite services for family caregivers throughout Southwest Florida. The organization will further support Alzheimer’s awareness by participating in the local Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Oct. 24.
