SoundsCape Concert Series | Collection of immersive musical experiences to begin this fall
Cape Coral will soon have a concert series to call its own. This fall, Cut the Chord Entertainment will launch SoundsCape Concert Series, a new collection of immersive musical experiences inspired by the city’s history, culture and community.
The inaugural performance, CandleGlow: Tales of the Haunted Rose Gardens, will take place on Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village, in the Rosen Ballroom. General admission tickets cost $45 plus tax and fees, and VIP tickets cost $100 plus tax and fees. VIP tickets include premium seating, two beverages per ticket holder, and a “trick or treat” swag bag filled with local treats and treasures. Cocktail hour begins at 6:30 p.m., and the 75-minute no-intermission concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
Inspired by one of Cape Coral’s most enduring legends, CandleGlow blends live string quartet performances, candlelight, theatrical storytelling and Halloween atmosphere into a concert experience like no other in the Cape.
Audiences will hear both classical and popular music synonymous with Halloween in a candlelit setting, while discovering the fascinating history of Cape Coral Gardens – a theme park that opened with great fanfare in 1964, with dancing “porpoises,” waltzing waters, replicas of historical monuments, and gardens where tens of thousands of rose bushes and exotic plants flourished. It was abruptly shuttered in 1970. According to local legend, that’s when strange and supernatural activity began to arise . . . and the performance takes place on the very site where Cape Coral Gardens once stood, which is now home to The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village.
Additional SoundsCape concert dates and programs will be announced throughout the season, with each program exploring a meaningful artistic connection to the City of Cape Coral.
The SoundsCape Concert Series is produced and presented by Cut the Chord Entertainment, Inc., a Cape Coral-based talent management, booking and event production company specializing in innovative live entertainment and orchestral collaborations.
