American Legion Post 90 invites public to July 4th celebration
American Legion Post 90 will proudly open its doors to the community this Independence Day as it hosts a special celebration honoring America’s 250th year. The July 4th event will welcome the public for an afternoon filled with patriotism, fellowship, music, food, and family-friendly fun.
The canteen opens at noon. Festivities will begin with an opening ceremony at 1 p.m., setting the tone for a day dedicated to celebrating the nation’s history and the spirit of community. Food will be served at 2 p.m.: BBQ ribs or pulled pork sandwich. Both served with potato salad and baked beans for $14; hot dogs for $3.
Cape Coral Post 90 will also be open to the public today, July 3, and Sunday, July 5. The Post is at 1401 S.E. 47th St., just two blocks from the intersection of Del Prado Boulevard and Cape Coral Parkway, in downtown Cape Coral. This is one of the few times each year when the bar is open to the public.
On Saturday July 4, we will have live entertainment from 3-6 p.m., and the Lee Health Bloodmobile will be nearby from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A 50/50 raffle will also be held. Proceeds go to Legion Auxiliary and Legion Sons veterans’ charities who are sponsoring the event.
American Legion Post 90 was founded in April 2001. The Post sponsors scholarships, Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops, blood drives, V.A. volunteers.
