Cape Chapter #9051 of Toastmasters International open house Monday

Cape Coral Chapter #9051 of Toastmasters International will hold an open house, “Confidence Fiesta: Where Your Voice Comes Alive!” Monday, May 4, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Providence Christian Church, 701 Mohawk Parkway, Cape Coral. 

Attendees will learn about Toastmasters and leadership skills, enjoy snacks and lively music and mingling, hear a prepared speech and evaluation and participate in fun “Spin & Speak” table topics.

Cape Coral Computer Club to meet Wednesday via Zoom

Not sure you want to upgrade to Windows 11? Have an older computer you still want to use? The Wednesday, May 6, Cape Coral Computer Club will have a presentation on How to Make Use of Old Computers Using Linux. The second presentation is Introduction and Uses of the Wayback Machine. Don’t know what that is? Follow the instructions below to join in on our meeting to find out.

The meeting will be via Zoom from 2 to 4 p.m. Sign-in and socializing will be from 1:30 to 2 p.m.

The Cape Coral Computer Club meets over Zoom from October through May on the first and third Wednesday. The meeting is open to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced computer/smartphone users. USA Dance/Cape Ballroom Dance Class to hold cha-cha-cha classes to be held in May

USA Dance Inc./Cape Coral Ballroom Dance Classes  (cha-cha-cha) will be held on every Thursday in May, at Four Freedoms Park, 4818 Tarpon Court, Cape Coral.

Doors will open at 7 p.m. with practice and dance time from 7 to 7:30 p.m. The cha-cha-cha class runs from 7:30 to 8 p.m., with dancing from 8:30 to 9 p.m.

No partners are needed. The atmosphere is casual and no RSVPs are needed; walk-ins are welcome.

The cost is $10 each evening.

The cha-cha-cha is lively, upbeat, and easy to pick up.

Whether you’ve never danced a step or already hooked with dancing — come and join us.

American Legion Riders Chapter 90 to host Pocketbook Bingo fundraiser May 9

The American Legion Riders Chapter 90 will be holding a Pocketbook Bingo fundraiser Saturday, May 9, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Post 90. Money raised goes to Project Vet Relief/Suicide Prevention Initiative to help end veteran suicide.

The cost is $30 for advance tickets and $40 at the door. A table can be reserved for $50. The fee includes 10 games with 10 cards included; additional cards are available for purchase. Those who purchase tickets will also be included in a door prize raffle.
