The Cape Cafe Dessert Theatre in Cape Coral will be presenting the stage thriller “The Spirit of Bay Manor” in October. The play, written by the theatre’s artistic director, Joe Simonelli, opens Saturday, Oct. 4 and runs every weekend until Nov. 2.

“The Spirit of Bay Manor” centers around five people who spend the weekend at an old upstate New York estate on Lake Ontario in order to determine whether the manor is, or isn’t haunted. The five weekenders include a realtor, a paranormal investigator, a psychic, the owner of Bay Manor and a woman whose aunt died in the house 30 years ago during a ghost hunt.

The cast features Cape Cafe co-owners Simonelli and Executive Director Chris Durso, as well as Cafe regulars Sherri Hepler and Becky Nilson. Making her Cape Cafe acting debut is Rose Eda.

Performances are 7 p.m. with Sunday matinees at 3 p.m. Doors open half an hour prior to curtain. Tickets are $28 and include coffee and pastries which are baked on the premises at Durso’s Delite Bakery.

Tickets can be purchased on the theatre’s website or by calling the box office at 239-363-0848. Discounts are available for groups of 12 or more.

The Cape Cafe Theatre is at 110 NE 2nd Place, Suite 401, inside Durso’s Delite Bakery & Cafe, next to Educators Music.
