Studio 75 Dance & Karaoke Celebration closes out the season as final event before Alliance refresh
Get ready to travel back 50 years and relive your favorite Saturday Night Fever memories. Join the Alliance for the Arts on Saturday, Aug. 30 from 8 to 11 p.m. for Studio 75: The Ultimate Karaoke & Dance Party. In celebration of its 50th anniversary, this event is set to be a night to remember with special surprises and themed activities that will transport attendees straight back to the days of classic hits and unforgettable fashion. This will also be the last chance to experience the Alliance before it pauses for the month of September for a refresh, reopening again in October with refreshed spaces. Tickets are $15 general admission and $12 for members. The Alliance for the Arts is at 10091 McGregor Blvd. just south of Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers.
Promising a night of epic nostalgia, fierce dance-offs and unforgettable memories, retro enthusiasts will have the chance to dance to the greatest disco hits from the iconic era. DJ Selecta AJ will be spinning tunes in the main gallery, creating a disco inferno to dance the night away, while those who love to sing can take the stage in the Foulds Theatre for an epic karaoke showdown. Attendees are invited to grab friends or take the stage solo to belt out favorite tunes. The karaoke portion of the evening will be one-of-a-kind, with customized music videos playing in the background to spark nostalgic memories. Hosted by Dying Cats Karaoke.
Guests are encouraged to don their best 70s attire. From disco to boho to punk, make a statement and you could win best dressed.
In addition to the festivities, guests will also take part in a unique commemorative activity: signing a piece of drywall that will be built directly into the refreshed Alliance walls. These signatures and messages will become part of the organization’s history and future, preserved within the very foundation of the building for generations to come.
Studio 75 isn’t just a party, it’s the final opportunity to experience the Alliance one last time before the refresh. The Alliance will reopen in October with refreshed spaces, and this milestone night marks the last event in the main building before construction begins. Art classes will continue without interruption in the Edwards Building during the renovation.
