Kisner new pastor at Hope United Methodist
The congregation of Hope United Methodist Church in Cape Coral will welcome Paul Kisner as its new pastor Sunday, July 5. Kisner and his wife, Dawn, said they are excited about their new opportunity with Hope in serving Cape Coral.
Kisner is originally from Carleton, Mich. He graduated from Taylor University (Indiana) in1998 before moving to Florida in 2004. He is currently a student at Asbury Theological Seminary in the Master of Divinity program.
He comes to Hope after serving as the director of Youth Ministries at Port Charlotte United Methodist Church since 2009. In addition to Port Charlotte UMC, he has also served Pine Island United Methodist Church in Bokeelia, St. James UMC in Sarasota and Trinity UMC in Sarasota in the areas of youth ministry and contemporary worship.
After serving in youth ministry for 16 years, Kisner said he is looking forward to transitioning to pastoral ministry.
“This is a wonderful time for both Dawn and I as we have been preparing for this moment for several years and we felt that Hope was the perfect place for us to begin this new chapter in our life,” he said.
Hope United Methodist Church is at 2006 Chiquita Blvd. All are welcome to Hope’s morning worship service at 10:30 on Sundays. For additional information, call the church office at 239-574-5570.
